Lá lốt rửa sạch, đem thái chỉ 2 lá còn lại để trang trí đĩa. Xếp lá lốt quanh đĩa, xếp mực lên trên rồi rải đều lá lốt thái chỉ lên trên cùng. Hoặc xếp mực vào đĩa, rải lá lốt thái chỉ lên trên, rồi dùng lá lốt loại nhỏ, xếp trang trí ở cạnh đĩa cùng với bông hoa cà chua.
