Good as a quick Ref but not the Real Deal
It's good as a quick reference if you are cool with the tenth edition of blacks law dictionary which this is based on. This is the fourth edition of the pocket dictionary, not based on the main blacks law dictionary, fourth edition. To know the real common law, you need the fourth edition or earlier.
I used it twice
I used it twice and neither time did it have the word I was looking for. Considering that cases reference a ton of Latin phrases that are purportedly common, this book has a serious deficiency for all of them. It might be better for when you're past your first year but I haven't found it useful so far.
MUST HAVE
This book is a required part of my law school studies but I see that this reference book can be used by anyone. I am so glad I bought it brand new and got it in less than a few days. it was packaged well and though it cant fit in my pocket, it def fits securely in my purse where it will be for the next 4 years.
Must needed.

This book was recommended by my college, but I have found it pretty useless. as a companion book to Business Law, I'd say pass it up. my first 22 chapters did not have one single definition available in this book. I will be using it for target practice in the future.
Black’s Law Dictionary for my Police Academy Class
Nice, inexpensive
Compact, easy to carry and quite useful
I own both the hard copy and this pocket edition. The pocket edition is lightweight enough to put in my computer bag and carry with me for quick reference of a specific item or for general review. I highly recommend adding the pocket edition to your library.
Great buy!
I bought this for my Son's college classes, it's all he really needs at a great price! The larger book was way more expensive and not necessary, it has all the same information. So glad I bought the pocket version.
Great for lots of coverage while also being portable
Very handy! This covers a lot of words and is extremely helpful while also being a great size to carry with you. I would definitely recommend this to intro law students.
